this skirt though

hello hello. i finally found some time to add a new post and wouldn't you know it, i'm wearing the same effing skirt :/ . i promise between the last time i posted and now i haven't worn this skirt at all, i've worn many different outfits of an incredible variety. unfortunately, i failed to make time to take photos of those and so here we are, lesson learned. i do want to post these photos though because i think it shows another way to wear this trusty ol' basic skirt and spring it up a little. pardon my messy room and cell phone shots, i was in a hurry as usual.

despite the fact that we've been experiencing spring time weather here in arizona since the end of juanuary, i was still really trying to hold on to all my winter looks since we really only have maybe 2 solid months of actual chilly temperatures. however, yesterday i was catching up on a few of my favorite fashion blogs and found that many of the ladies were sporting pink. i love pink and i love flowers and if you put them together i basically barf rainbows with excitement. i wanted to wear pink so bad after seeing all of the lovely pastels and bubblegums and fuschias that i wore the shit out of it today. i got this shirt a few weeks ago but had yet to wear it, what perfect timing! i popped that baby on with my trusty black skirt and then painted my face with pink blush and pink lipstick. the result, i am really quite pleased with myself today. (also, i'm hoping that's just a glare from the sun in the close-up otherwise there's a ghost haunting my face...)
